Poster Workshop Amalgamation

Poster Workshop Amalgamation

The Genre form of the various arts are well and truly set in motion in the late Cinquecento and early Seicento. ‘Menial’ themes are ascribed enough dignity to gain the right to be depicted, the arts are confronted with a range of new tasks.

The objective of our workshop is not only a comparative description of such phenomena in the various genres or media (poetry, painting and fine arts, music) but also an investigation into the respective medial shifts and configurations, an exploration of the conditions of production and reception of such “amalgams” and “hybrids”, and not least an enquiry into explanatory models offered so far by the different academic fields.

The event was held via WebEx Event.
